Novel and advanced materials are often initially produced in small form factors, making them incompatible with conventional materials testing systems. Psylotech's under microscope testing stage provides accurate, statistically relevant data on specimens across many length scales. The µTS is appropriate for materials ranging from metals to elastomers. Its advanced motion control enables new techniques. For example, rate dependence studies covering 8 orders of magnitude for polymers or soft tissue. As another example, compliance compensation actively moves the cross-head to counter load cell deflection in stress relaxation tests.
