Psylotech offers 3D-DMA contract testing services. Each test provides:
- Dynamic Young’s Modulus
- Dynamic Poisson’s Ratio
- Thermal Shifting Factors
- Young's Bulk (K) and Shear (G) Moduli vs. Temperature
- K(t) and G(t) Prony Series
- Coefficient of thermal expansion in two dimensions
These data are particularly useful for reduced time constitutive models such as distortion modified free volume presented by Popelar and Liechti or the Potential Energy Clock model from Caruthers, Chambers, Adolf and Shrikhande. Psylotech also offers consulting services to help clients apply these testing/simulation technologies to their specific applications.
Additionally, Psylotech offers µTS testing services to help clients take advantage of that instrument’s novel capabilities for multi-scale/multi-rate testing. For example, the µTS can readily show local strain fields on composite materials or measure the thickness change in a film with 25 nm resolution.
